#98 Go On a Demonstration

One of the things to do is to stage a rally or protest. So in the Winter of 2003 when New York State was deciding to raise tuition fees for future students the Student Association (student government) of which I was apart of (yes surprisingly I was allowed to be involved in a governmental organization) decided to hold a Tuition Hike Protest Rally. The protest rally was suppose to have students “march” all the way down to Albany to protest. When I say march, we really was to march from our campus at SUNY Buffalo down to Erie Community College about 6 miles away. From there the students from E.C.C. were to march to another campus and so on and so forth until they reach Albany.

So in the dead of winter in sub zero condition weather we walked 6 miles chanting and shouting. The end results were they raised the tuition anyways but atleast I can say I was involved in a 1960’s style student demonstration.
